Hi
Just a reminder that your vote counts this Thursday when it comes to the Norwich Western Link.
If you aren't sure what your preferred candidate's stance on the road is we have some information
here.
You can look up candidates in your area

And it's not too late to remind them that it is an issue you care about, why not drop them an email?
SWL subgroups
We have expanded a lot over the past year, despite the pandemic. We now have several lively sub groups, doing lots of interesting stuff, so if you want to get more involved, why not just dip your toe in and see what would suit you? New people always welcome!
It's all hands on deck to promote the crowdfunder! Only 8 weeks to raise £10,000 (+hopefully more). Can you help?
Actions and outreach: we organise the webinars, walks in the wensum, in person events and protests. We also organise getting in touch with other groups and people to maximise our reach. Lots of big and small ways to get involved. Next meeting 4th May.
Arts group: Help with events such as upcoming tracks and trails. Plans are brewing an exhibition in the summer. Lots of imaginative ideas from this group to promote the Wensum valley and the campaign.
Ecology and surveying: This is to provide the 'Alternative Ecology Liaison Group' which robustly challenges the council and provides good quality data. Weekly surveying in the Valley + we would like to influence the official Ecology Liaison Group to do more challenging! If you have any ecology background or just an interest you are very welcome. Members of groups on the ELG would also be very welcome.
Legal and Planning : NCC are not keeping to the rules. This group are constantly active, challenging NCC and keeping everything in the light. They will need more help as a legal challenge becomes likely.
Looking into what NCC can do to help the beleaguered residents of the Wensum Valley instead of a dual carriageway. Origin and destination surveys, research into solutions, alternative single lane routes. We don't have the resources to sort this problem out for NCC, but we can point them in the right direction.
See here for latest meetings and events. Also our website, although we have so much going on these days we can't keep it updated fully all the
time!
Alternatively, email stopthewensumlink@protonmail.com to be put in touch with a sub group.

Ongoing: The Wensum: Your View
We would love to see your photos, videos and art of the Wensum. Like the photo above: how do you (and your dog?) enjoy the river, valley and woods? Tiny details, big vistas. People or wildlife. Whatever you love about the Wensum. We will share on social media and our website. Just reply to this email.
