Your invitation to a celebration of the end of the road!

Friday 4th April 7pm at The Plasterers Arms in Norwich.
Come and just have a relaxed drink and give yourself a pat on the back for your support. We couldn't have done it without all the SWL members stepping up. Thankyou to everyone!
We are calling this a 'cautious celebration'.
We know this particular road project is dead in the water, but something else that is destructive and carbon intensive popping up in the future is a real threat.
To counteract this we have 2 strategies we would like to pursue:
1. A Plan B
We have a small team working further on creating a more fleshed out plan of alternatives to a major road that we can present to Norfolk CC and the government as a springboard. From road changes and upgrades, to buses, trains, and cycling. To have impact, this needs to be region wide, and involve partnership with other organisations.
2. Protection and recognition for the Wensum Valley
The habitat survey and bat monitoring has revealed just how special the Wensum Valley is. It needs a greater recognition, both officially and in the eyes of the public. There are various ways to do this - some very new and exciting.
However, we need lots more volunteers to help in both these areas if we are going to succeed. If either of these projects appeal to you then please do reply to this email, or come and have a chat on Friday!

The pub is close to Anglia Square which is well served by buses on major routes into the City. There is pay and display parking under the flyover and a car park in Edward Street
