Thanks to Norwich FoE, Norwich XR, Transport Action network and others really helped us highlight the problems of this road while at The Big One. 

It helped that recent coverage in a national newspaper had featured the barbastelle bat supercolony, so there was a lot of awareness of the NWL as a destructive project.

We will continue to put pressure on the DfT to refuse funding.

The A47 Campaign goes to court

Dr Andrew Boswell's court case on the cumulative counting of carbon was heard on the 10th/11th May, and he is awaiting the result.  See here for an update on how that went. More funding is needed if you can share the crowdfunder please!

The recent storytelling event raised another £2000 Andrew's case, so thanks so much to everyone who helped and attended. It was another fabulous evening.

The Team - the Coalition against the NWL.

As well as a fantastic collaborative effort at The Big One, there is much going on in the background with the Coalition. This group includes The Norfolk Wildlife Trust, The Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists, Toadwatch, The Woodland Trust, Norfolk Rivers Trust, the dragonfly society and many others. 

When Norfolk CC seek planning permission we have the backing of all these groups to push for a Public Inquiry where the issues of the NWL will be looked at properly and to get public support and funding. 

So, if you felt we were just a small David fighting against the Council Goliath - please realise we have a lot of power collectively, we just need to use it!
