Last few days to take part in Norfolk County Council's pre-planning consultation! Deadline is the 9th October.
Why is this important?
Sure, taking part in this won't stop the road on it's own. But if NCC has figures showing a majority, even a slim one,
approving the road or aspects of it they will use that a justification for continuing. They use these figures in public communication, so it's important they aren't favourable to NCC.
A recent poll in the EDP showed something like a 50:50 support for the NWL. If an official survey shows even lower support it tells NCC they are on wobbly ground with this
project. There are also a lot of people who are against the road, but think it is decided and there is no point fighting. Figures that tell them that lots of others are also against it will show that it is worth joining in campaigning against it. There are many stages to go yet and we need to keep building our numbers.
There will probably only be a couple of thousand
responses, which means that if everyone on our email list and social media following takes part we will easily have the majority.
So please do yours, and get at least one other person to too.
Thanks so much!
