The 'Common Ground' story telling event at Weston Longville village hall on Saturday 23 October was a great success!
65 people turned up to hear stories and poems on the theme of love and appreciation of nature, the importance of having access to nature and the countryside and the struggle to protect the natural environment in different settings and through different ages. Links to the NWL were crystal clear. Local storyteller, Hugh Lupton and ecologist, Helen Beynon, who both are part of SWL, generously donated the proceeds of £483.73 to the
campaign.
A massive thank you to Hugh, Helen and the kind people in the audience who helped out and made it such a moving and thought provoking evening
